Talk, Talk it Out
I've been thinking over the past few weeks about how we communicate with each other. I don't know about you, but I've had problems communicating to individuals in the past. Have you ever had that problem?
I've taken on some additional work responsibilities in the past few weeks which has really magnified this issue with communication. It is more important than ever that I'm communicating clearly and effectively to people. I'm spending hours on a single email to ensure that I'm communicating exactly what I want to say. This should improve over time, but it's a reflection of how important it is to me.
So this has got me thinking about how we all communicate. And I wonder how much we miss in our conversations with each other. What were people trying to tell me that I didn't fully comprehend? How often have people missed what you were trying to say?
To all those people who I didn't understand, I'm sorry. I'm working on being a better listener and a more effective communicator. I just need some time....

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who spends an hour on one e-mail. :)
How's work in general going? When do you move? Are you looking forward to it?
P.S. Thanks for your comment on my blog and question about supplies. I wasn't really sure what to respond, because in my eyes, the biggest need we have is for a reading curriculum, and the ones I found that looked like they would address our needs were between $1,000 and $2,000, so it wasn't something I could be like- yeah, see if people at church will bring in pencils and markers and ship it to us, or something easy like that.
