Encouragement

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Philippians 4:8

I was reading an article today about a television show. Some of the things that I read disturbed me. It disturbed me more that this was one of the most popular shows on cable and network television. I have noticed that one of my favorite shows has gotten much more tawdry this season. And that bugs me.

I'm not here to legislate morality**. I wasn't even sure I wanted to make this entry. But I have to. I want to enourage you to consider everything you do, in the light of this verse. And not just from a media perspective. What kind of thoughts go through your mind? What kind of words come out of your mouth? And what kind of actions come out of your heart?
