Recipe for failure.

Okay, so I tried to make those Bacon Cheese Burgers yesterday. I'm afraid that they didn't turn out as well as I expected. First, they were thick. Thick as all get out. Check out the picture.


Because of the thickness, they would not cook completely. I cooked them in the pan for over 20 minutes on medium and medium-high heat. I could not get the outside edges to brown. In desperation (and because the choir concert was starting in less then 45 minutes), I threw them in the microwave. You don't have to leave me any comments to let me know how wrong I was. All the beautiful grease left the burgers, leaving them pretty dry. Sadness.

I think I'm just going to focus on baking.
