Let's talk politics.....

First of all, The Ketchup Lady is going to be in Harrisburg on Wednesday. So if you can't find anything better to do, check her out. Info here.

I was checking on the John Kerry website today and I noticed that he attended church on Sunday. He attended an AME church....again. Can anyone tell me if Kerry has attended services at an episcopal church or another predominantly white church? I totally understand that he is counting on black voters to help carry him next Tuesday, but why must he insist on attending their services to toot his own horn?

And guess what I heard? Ya know how the Pennsylvania Primary is one of the last primaries in the Spring? Well, the scuttlebutt is that if Ed Rendell delivers Pennsylvania for Kerry next Tuesday, Kerry is going to go out of his way to make Pennsylvania the home of the first primary. That honor currently belongs to New Hampshire.

And I've mentioned this before, but if George Bush wins on Tuesday, how are the Democrats going to spin it? And if Kerry wins, what are Republicans going to say? It's not right, but I would like to see Bush win, just to see all those ActUP and MoveOn people cry. That would be fun.

One more thing. We as Christians have been blessed the past four years with George Bush. But have we appreciated it for what it really is? And with that in mind, has it been a boon for the Church, or a detriment? Or maybe a combination of both?
If Kerry wins, it may be a long four years. However, the Church will have to go on. There may be an increase in religious persecution, but the Church will have to go on. Regardless of what happens in this election, the Church will have to go on. And we might be pleasantly suprised at what happens when the going gets tough.
