It's that time of year again.

For what? Why the Farm Show, of course. The Pennsylvania Agricultural Farm Show is an annual event that brings all sorts of people to the Farm Show building. It's a celebration of all things Pennsylvania. Whether it be cattle, swine, horses, shoofly pie, apples, Turkey Hill ice cream or cross-stitching. It's all represented. Lots of folks come to check out the animals and all the farm equipment. But then there's other folks. Like me. We go for the food. And for the free stuff. The food court at the show is a gastronomical delight. The Pennsylvania Potato Growers represent with baked potatoes and potato donuts. The dairy council kicks in with their ever-popular milkshakes, while the apple growers cooperative sells cider and apple dumplings. It's all pretty great stuff. And there's the free stuff. All sorts of Pennsylvania businesses are there giving away free stuff. Food samples, rulers, stickers and other assorted items are available.

So Saturday morning, some friends and I will be at the farm show. Snacking our way through various exhibits and picking up the freebies. It's gonna be fun.
