All signs point to surrender

More on surrender. More because the idea has popped up several times in the last week. And that's not coincidence.

I really need to learn that surrendering is a daily thing. That I just can't say I surrender, and leave it at that. I have to do it every day. Because if I don't, I'm going to get distracted. The tricky part is remembering to do it. But I can do it.

I just have to get this through my thick skull: More of Him and less of me.

When I was in communion last week at church, I was hit with this idea. After the bread, the pastor prayed, 'God we repent for the sins that we have done and please forgive us.' Then during the cup being passed out, the worship band played a song with the line, 'I surrender all to You.' I was amazed at how these two things must go together. I haven't come close to figuring it out, but it seems like repentance requires surrender.
